Paper Child (paper children) is a new kind of art spread across the internet. It consists in  
drawing little paper people and taking photos of them interacting with the real world.
First popular in Japan and Korea, they became famous around the world through internet, especially through deviantart members (see my account here).
They are often cute and usually children (that's why they are called this way), and have a style influenced by anime and manga.
